This posting is not for the squeamish. Just brought Spot the the vet yesterday because she was feeling down, lethargic, not eating, and just not being herself. She had a lot of poop on her bum– but that’s sort of normal for her. Turns out the poop was dried blood. She had an anal sac abscess which ruptured when the vet went to look at it. The vet said there was pus everywhere. Spot got an antibiotic shot, and is on the liquid anibiotic Antirobe. She’s an 11lb cat and gets 1ml 2x a day.
