It’s been a doozy of a season.
- In October, Allie once again had mammary tumors removed. She had some removed last year around the same time. We moved her inside, hoping she’d enjoy the comforts of the Stinky Palace, but she prefers to stay outside, except when it’s cold (around 0F/-17C). She learned to use the dog door in three weeks and can come inside whenever she wants.
- After adopting Sisuq in October, we noticed a growth on his toe. The vet aspirated it and wasn’t concerned, but it started to abscess. We brought him in again and he ended up with his toe amputated and he was neutered at the same time. He’s been inside for a while and once his cone (e-collar) comes off, we’ll teach him to use the dog door. He’s one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever met and he has great recall!
- After adopting Sisuq & Ryker, we needed to rearrange spots in the dog yard, so we brought Justice inside. She is still adjusting and hasn’t yet learned how to use the dog door.
- 12yo Siren wasn’t eating well– she stopped eating for a few days. The vet said she has either lymphoma or IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). She is on a low dose of prednisone indefinitely. her eating improved after her vet visit where she was given fluids and had an inconclusive ultrasound, but she is still pick.
- Due to an accident, I was unable to sign up for the YQ 175– I’m bummed about this, but maybe next year!
