We’re looking for a dog-loving couple (or person) to work and play with the Stinkers over the summer (July-August). Room and a small stipend will be provided. The location is 50 minutes north of Whitehorse and includes a rough 5K dirt road. The home is remote, off-grid, and overlooks Lake Laberge.
Responsibilities include:
- Feeding, watering, and scooping poop (morning and evening) for our 14 sled dogs who live outside, and sometimes our 9 dogs who live inside.
- Walking (optional) some of the dogs in the evening.
- Brushing the dogs and spending time with them.
- Help with household chores such as (but not limited to) gathering firewood for the winter, refinishing the deck, and some exterior/interior painting.
Qualifications: MUST
- LOVE dogs and have experience working with multiple dogs at once.
- Be able to solve problems and think fast.
- Be reliable and honest.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Be comfortable in a remote/isolated setting.
Amenities:
- You will have a downstairs furnished apartment with a kitchen and bathroom.
