At StinkyPup Kennel, our dogs aren’t just our sled dogs — they’re our family.
We believe dog sledding should be an experience that respects the dogs who make it possible. Our kennel is chain-free*, giving our dogs the freedom to live, play, socialize, and rest together in a safe and enriching environment when they aren’t working.
Our outside dogs live in 30×30 pens, with 2-3 dogs sharing each pen. Our inside dogs have a dog door and can come inside the house whenever they feel like it.
Every dog has their own personality, strengths, limits, and stink :) We pay close attention to what each dog enjoys and make sure they have time to rest and recover between runs.
We’re proud to share the Yukon with our dogs in a way that puts their well-being first. When you visit StinkyPup, you’re not simply booking a dog sledding tour — you’re getting to know the dogs, learning about life with a sled-dog team, and experiencing the Yukon alongside animals we know and love.
Come meet the StinkyPups, hear their stories, and see what responsible dog sledding looks like from the kennel’s perspective.
*Sometimes it takes a while for a dog to adjust to their new environment. New dogs usually remain on a chain for a month until they feel safe in their new surroundings.
