Acquired: From my neighbor’s yard.
About: Nutok is one of two dogs that was left in my neighbor’s yard. Supposedly Nutok and Asa (the other dog) were to be given to a touring company. The neighbor left town, called us from the road, and asked if we could take care of Nutok and Asa until the touring people could pick them up. No one ever called.
Nutok is a very sweet, but shy, dog. She can run lead– but she doesn’t really like to run at all. She’ll make a great pet dog…we’re just waiting for some room to open up inside.
Bad Habits: Sometimes difficult to catch when she’s running around the yard.

March 2010 Update: Nutok is now officially an inside dog. She came inside to recover from getting beat up by the ‘girls.’ Then Scully died, so a space opened up inside and it had her name on it. Actually, it had Monkey/Punky’s name on it, but since Nutok was already inside, inside she stayed.

July 2010 Update: Nutok is a great inside dog.  She found her way into our guest room and now has her own bedroom. She’s not much of a snuggler, but likes to go on walks and be part of the family. She’s a bit of a whiny girl. She’s very afraid of thunder storms.
