It’s been three weeks after the Rat-man was freed from the trap. We brought him to the vet yesterday. His still has an infection and the chance of him losing a toe or two remains. He’s on new meds:
- Ampicillin, 500mg 2X a day for infection
- Metronidazole, 500mg 2X a day for infection; however, I thought that metro was giving to aid in diarrhea while on other meds for infection.
- Pentoxifyllin, 400mg 2X a day; this is a blood thinner to try and get the blood to circulate to his bad toe.
We have another vet appointment in two weeks to see how he’s doing.
